I have had parents ask what they can do for their students reading and I thought that I would post some questions that will help with students comprehension (memory) of any book they are reading:
|
1) Describe the main character.
2) What was the problem? 3) How did the character deal with the problem? 4) Tell about three events that happened in the story. 5) Should the character have done something differently? What? Why? 6) What was your favorite part of the story? Why? 7) Have you ever read another story that is similar to this? How were they the same? How were they different? 8) How would you change the main character? 9) How are you like that character? How are you different? 10) What could be another name for this story? |
